16 Years Old + '06 BMW 330i + Asian Driver = OWNED
Ah, I feel it appropriate as my first post on this forum to be pictures of my new (well, bought used) 330i that I brilliantly crashed. Got this car from my uncle for $26K last August when I turned 16.
It rained for the first time in a month, and being my first car I did not realize how slippery the road is when the new coat of rain and oil that had been sitting in the ground mixes together. Thusly, my misfortune and idiocracy resulted in my failed attempt to brake and make a right turn on a green light in these conditions. The result, my car is unable to stop, and I skid into an 82 year old man and his wife sitting in their Tahoe waiting at a red light. Fortunately, no one was hurt at all, and the old man was not mad, and he was very understanding. Yes I'm 16. Yes I'm Asian. Yes this is my first car. Yes my parents bought it for me. Yes I'm an idiot. Yes I'm very fortunate (or very spoiled, depending on how you look at it). Yes the repairs took a month and $6394.19 (insurance paid for everything, $1000 deductible) Yes my insurance went WAY up. Yes I took defense driving. Yes I don't deserve this car. Yes I need to learn how to drive. Yes I learned my lesson. Feel free to flame away! Retard, idiot, spoiled, stupid--whatever will make you feel better and make your day! DISCLAIMER: These pictures are for comic value and to make others feel better about their wrecks. I am in no way advocating crashing your car so you can look cool and post pictures on a forum. Humility through self-deprication came to 'cover my bases' --If this is in the wrong place, please move mods. Thanks Last edited by Fizz; 04-08-2008 at 10:30 PM.. |

I dont really think its bad that you spent 26 grand on your first car, but you did flame yourself well. That is good that you learned your lesson haha.

It's unfortunate, but only a car. As long as you're not injured and learned a lesson, that's good. At your age, imho you should worry about girls, SAT's, and college. You don't need a car to achieve success in those 3 areas. If the car detracts from those in any way, get rid of it. My .02.

Looks like you learned a lesson, so that's good. Take care and enjoy the car in good health.

Sucks. Also sucks that it's $6400 in damage. At least the car is fixed now.

It actually doesn't look too terrible. The height of the Tahoe may have been to your advantage as the brunt of the impact hit mostly the hood. In any event, good to know you're okay and drive safely!

And no, I'm not a girl. Why does everyone keep thinking that hahaha I know teenage asian women are the WORST combination of stereotypical driving ever, but like yeah no. Is it the fact that I actually use sentences. God I need to stop that. like now btw eekthecat, good flame |

imho if you read the way the OP wrote, it's doubtful that he is a she. It's interesting that all the words seem so carefully chosen, yet he misspelled the word brake. Guess there goes Stanford or Harvard, time to get out the b-list.
