668M rims on the 540ix?

You think possibility the m550ix 668M rims would be available as an upgrade for the 540ix?

I'm thinking BMW might only make it exclusive for the M550ix. The 668m rims are the only one's I like.

Pretty sure it'll be M550i only.

Just like it's now with the 20" 434M wheels that's an upgrade on the F10/11 M550d.

Your best bet is to buy them used from someone putting aftermarket wheels on their M550i.

The grey M550i X with the 668M wheels looks awesome and what I would like to order. But the 668M wheels not available until after July in US market. What grey is that? Sophisto or? Don't think BMW offers that grey in US yet.
Cheers!

You cannot get them from factory.
But i ordered 668M wheels last week as spare part for my 540i xDrive and dealer will put these on before i collect my car.

I had specced 19" 664M for my order and changed that to 18" 662M wheels when dealer confirmed they could successfully place the order for 668M

They will store the 18" wheels for me and i will switch to them for winter.

I just called on the 668M wheels yesterday and the dealer said backorder, hoping they will be in the US by next week. He said he shows a shipment coming to the US but they dont know exactly when they left or when they arrive. I am calling him next week.

i have enquired about the 665 wheels myself here in the UK.
not possible to put on cars other than 550 at factory for 2 reasons
1) it is exclusive to the 550
2) in the uk the co2 ratings have not be undertaken for this wheel so they legally cannot put them on as there is no co2 rating for road tax purposes.
they can be ordered as spare parts and put on afterwards but that is an expensive way to do it. cost for alloys alone in the UK is just under £3000. one for you and your dealer to negiotiate on as a possibility. I will be doing just that on saturday.

Garage List
Given the long history of this sort of thing with BMW, I can virtually guarantee that they won't be available as an official (build-orderable, or port-installed) option for anything but the M550i.

That said, they can already be ordered as service parts, and if history is again any indication, there will also be replicas of varying quality and varying price (some quite good, others not so much).

Of course, they haven't been available yet in the US market at all... ;-)
