ESS 595 Supercharger Kit. Almsot Brand new. San Diego , CA

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

USD 5,000.00

Item Interest
For Sale: ESS 595 Supercharger kit.

Name: Ali Ghanizad.
Location: San Diego
Price: $5000obo
Contact: 8583829666 or PM.

Selling my ESS 595 kit since I am not planning on boosting the car like I thought I would. The kit has less than 1000miles. The supercharger and it's turbine look like they have almost never been used. The manifold is powder coated gloss red and not the regular satin black one. There is a checklist of all the parts in the box, and every single part is individually wrapped and labeled. The kit does come with the ESS Cable. It also comes with 3 full bottles of supercharger fluid. All the parts are covered in bubble wrap and wrapping paper inside the ESS box just like new. It is ready to be picked up locally or shipped on buyers expense. I am willing to drive an hour or so to meet half way if a deposit is placed.

I am asking $5000 for the kit. I am in no rush to sell it so no low balling, please. I am open to reasonable offers and willing to negotiate the price a little with the serious buyers. Texting is is the easiest way to get a hold of me. (858-382-9666)

It looks very new, can you confirm if the Tune has been used? This would be a good selling price if the tune is included.

Interested as well, as a new tune from ESS or BPM runs about $700, so that makes a big impact on price. A 595 kit is $7,500 new and several outfits offer free install. Install seems to be around 1k, so all in this kits runs you $6,700 with no tune. Kit looks very clean but IMO not enough discount vs. new unless tune included.

the ESS cable is also vin locked to the original car so the new owner will need to buy a new cable along with the tune.

that would equate to 6700 with tune? 5000 used kit 1000 install and 700 tune replacement? vs 7500 new with free install? who does free installs btw?

BPM will drop price to $700 I believe for existing n/a tune customers. If not it is likely 1k. ACM and EAS usually offer free install OR a free x pipe.

So if this was kit requires a new tune expect 1k for install and 1k for tune. That's 7k and only $500 cheaper than a new kit with warranty. Unless I'm missing something.

Nonetheless the kit looks really clean! GLWS.

Thank you. I'm trying to sell the kit that's clearly extremely low mileage and pretty fair asking price so i can get some do my money back that I paid for the car.

Tune, I can't confirm that it's not been used. I highly doubt that's he case since I know that the kit was installed. Again, that's the case with any used kit. Not just this one.

I'm willing to negotiate the price a little bit to help potential buyers. That being said, I will tell you to F off when you offer me $3500 shipped to Nigeria or Palestine and give me a reasoning about the tune and install. Do you expect me to cover the cost of me new clutch, diff and oil cooler too? LOL lets not waste each other's time.

as a seller of used car parts for awhile, it is true that lowballs are annoying. some people use it as a bargaining tool, most people don't get their asking price when selling used parts. i'd try to at least negotiate the price when you get a lowball, then maybe that "insult" can turn into a sale instead.

I bet ESS could tell you if the tune has been used or not. If you give them the vin.

Trust me man! I know what you are saying but I have been around the Car community for a while. A person that is interested will ask questions about the product for sale and will inquire other information before offering a price whether it be high or low. Those that throw their low ball offer before asking amything else won't buy it even if you say yes. They would come up with a million other reasons to go lower. I'd rather not waste my time.

Just to clarify, if you don't mind me asking some direct questions:
1) Did you buy the kit NEW yourself and run it only 1k miles? Or did you buy it used and run it at all??
2) Does the kit come absolutely complete? Meaning, no odds & ends missing?
It's always the odd part or two that's missing that is a real pain to replace.

Thanks.

Do you know the size of the pulley? Sometimes it's engraved on there.

Absolutely not! In fact, I had actually mentioned the information on the post but I ended up editing it to keep the post simple.

1) I purchased the car last month from a close friend of mine. I got the kit along with the car but not installed. He had purchased it from the original owner of the kit. The guy had it on for less than 1k miles, took it off to go higher boost and got the new red manifold apparently but he ended up going a whole different route. The previous owner of my car purchased the kit but he waited to get more seat time before he could install it since it was his track car. He leaned more towards better suspension and aero and never actually put it on the car.

2)from what I see, yes! Whoever uninstalled and packaged the kit was anal. Every single piece is wrapped separately and labeled on a checklist piece by piece.
