Tuning shop? Or just a shop to install your new parts? If so, Rob at Socalbmwinstalls!

Hardly any local tuners for these cars, and even less for the N55. Look into a custom flash tune via BM3, MHD when released, or otherwise

WOW, this forum has a lot of info.
Cobb is in socal, and I'm sure they could help you, or guide you in the right direction.

I had inquired about 2months ago. Basically $500 for the dyno tune and a mandatory boost/vacuum leak test for $150 (if i remember correctly). Oh and the session needs to be scheduled 6months ahead.

Sooo...I don't know if this is typical/normal for a dyno tune.

Also, I inquired at EAS since they are installing my turbos (by the way, cheapest I could find for parts and labor. About $500 cheaper). They told me they don't really do Cobb tunes but can do a baseline dyno.

Yeah Cobb SoCal has a decent waiting list and requirements prior to tuning. I had tuned with them a while back and it was a "headache" in one sense. TBH though they have those rules and regulations for a reason - most cars aren't well maintained these days and guys going after power vs maintaining their cars leads to undesirable results for the tuner and owner. Let me put it this way, imagine how many times they had setup dyno tuning sessions which take quite the effort to setup in their own right - just to cut the session short because owners may have fueling, vacuum, boost, ignition, other issues that don't allow the tuner or owner to achieve the results they both want. It's disappointing to say the least and after that type of wait and money invested both parties walk away unhappy in that instance. The dyno tune costs arent too far off for the work involved, but the boost leak and vacuum tests may be seen as excessive.

Nice! How much did you end up paying for the turbo install at eAs?

Not sure if I should disclose it here. I will send you a pm.

Edit:
Labor for the turbo and inlets was ~$1400.
