Very nice. That last pic, the red widebody? Is that an E46 M3? Have any more shots of it

Well post em up! People can forgive a little non-M4 action. Surprised how wide those wheel wells look at that angle. I thought the headlights were wrong for the E46, but the flare fooled me!

Is this an annual event? When is it scheduled for 2017? I live in Bellingham and recently purchased a 2016 M4. I am looking for events in the Seattle area and PNW to attend. I also plan to go to 2017 Bimmerfest in SoCal in 2017 if anyone wants to do a group drive down there. It would be great to get a few of us to drive down!

Join the BMWCCA and you'll hear about all the events. Many of us already do hook up to caravan to functions. This board is key as well.

Congrats on your new ride!

Oh, and it is an annual event.

In addiition to joining the BMWCCA, which I highly recommend, you'll then get access to the area's Porsche and Audi club events, which have reciprocity with the BMW club.

A couple other things might help... during the nicer weather, go down to Exotics @ Redmond Town Center on a Saturday morning. Lot's of incredible cars, you'll be able to park in with them, and meet all kinds of other enthusiast BMW (and other marque) drivers, and learn of additional events.

Also, if on FB, join the PNW BMW group, and go to an event or two. There's drives and meets all the time.

There's probably local events up in WWU land as well. My daughter graduates from WWU this year (thank God!).

That is me. A few YMBs but red rims sets it apart. Those are my summer rims. I am usually in Bellevue 2 or 3 times a month.

Here are my winter rims/tires.

It's like a camel running on ice.

I am fine with my car being a bit jittery with grip (jb4 map2, dp's, etc.) but what I didn't like was on my PSS 20" tires getting on an on-ramp that was off-camber, 42 degrees and wet, the car snapped loose and I was in a drift and the stability and god modes just said, "too bad for you" and the traction light didn't even flicker, a full wheel lock at 45 mph put me back straight.

This year I have Continental all-seasons on my spare rims (black instead of red). definitely more grip. PSS tires under 55 degrees and wet are almost useless if you want to drive it in anything but econo mode on side streets.

If you admit that you will probably buy another set of tires within the lifetime/ownership of the car then get another set of rims and all-seasons. Except the rim cost, it's about the same cost in the long run and much better/safer for winter.

You think its better to just get new rims then to just get all season tires?

For summer I have a summer set of rims and tires with TPMS etc. They are PSS 285s in front and 305s in the rear. You can tell because I put the white lettering on them, oh also, the rims are red

For winter I have continental DWS06 all seasons. They don't have white lettering and the rims, are slightly different in color (black with blue barrel and pin stripe). These I believe are 255 in the front and 285 in the rear.

Both sets are the same rim brand and model.

Tires or tires/rims take up the same physical space in your garage, so just buy another set of rims too with TPMS and then swapping is quick and less likely to get a rim scratched from mounting and balancing.
