Am I getting the right information?

So I have my order ready to go and chose:

Oyster Dakota leather interior, in order to avoid a glovebox in the same colour I selected:

Leather dash, not individual one but the £815 option.

Dealer is now telling me I have to have Merino leather in order to get the leather dash!

This can't be right, can it??? I can select on configurator and swear I've seen pictures with Dakota leather...

Help please.

He's talking shit! He has obviously clicked the "Leather instrument panel - BMW ind" option instead of the "leather instument panel, leather" one!

Top left and bottom right

Get a new dealer! Why aren't you getting it from Tony Lewis?

Thanks for the info - I didn't think I was going mad...

I'll give him one chance to rectify. It was going to be simple for me - already ditched 2 x dealers in the Edinburgh area due to shocking service. This guy is further north where i used to be based and I did a fair bit of business with him 2003-2006.

I was getting 20% and only a short journey to px my 330Dx, so I would rather press with this, however, more hiccups and I will try TRL who is better for me physically as I work in London Mon-Fri, but bad for final exchange...

Nothings ever simple...

That was a very good point mentioned a few days ago. Just passed deposit to TRL - even though it's near the end of the month he sorted it all out with zero hassle and lightning quick speed!

Great news! what sort of issues were you having with the Edinburgh dealers if you don't mind me asking? I wasn't too impressed with them either and also ended up going down South, different dealer though.

Mainly the standard Panda issues... Eats Shoots and Leaves.

Eats - your money
Shoots - you down if you try and get any discernable customer service - end up just trying to sell you another car instead of sorting problems with current
Leaves - you high and dry when you are asking for advice because you didn't buy another car

Is there a BMW dealer further north than Edinburgh. Is he Norwegian?
