Rear arch protectors

Hey guys

I got angry with the BMW vinyl clear arch protectors and decided they had to go so peeled them off. However there is an obvious patch of solvent/sticky substance on the paint underneath. What would you use to remove this without damaging the paint?

Cheers

What did you not like about them? are you going to replace them with some aftermarket PPF as having some protection there is a must imo?

Would just some sticky remover like Goo Gone or something work?

They were really obvious on my AW car and had a line of dirt that i couldn't remove along its edge. I'd rather take my chances with chips instead of looking at an obvious layer of plastic every day.

I don't really baby my car, its there to be used, so I don't mind if it gets marked - I just hate the look of the extra plastic.

I also got sick of these and removed them but no sticky substance was left behind. But for sticky stuff just use Goo Gone, won't hurt the paint (I used it in the past).

Goo Gone will do the job, just go slow and use as little as needed, it won't hurt the paint.

In case anyone else has the same problem I used Wd40, let it soak, scraped off the majority with a soft plastic card and then wiped with a towel
