A better class of driver?
Where's the abuse and personal insults?
Being a Nissan Qashqai owner for the last 2 years, but only for 4 more weeks, I had to get used to the typical insults, disagreements and arguments hurled at fellow members on that Forum. Is it that F34 drivers are so much nicer and comfortable in the knowledge that they have chosen such a special car, below the radar of most of the driving public? |

Welcome. Love the username.
We are a proper lot of fine ladies and gentlemen here on this forum. No insults around here. Enjoy and we look forward to seeing photos of your car. I'll bet you are $hitty at golf and your name's not Steve |

I agree for some reason we all seem to get along with each other and are much happier with our choice of vehicle.

Admittedly there was a modicum of irony in my username, although I have been down to 5. Currently not playing, just recovering from a prolapsed disk so every chance I will be crap for some time. I really am Steve though.

F34 owners on the whole value a car more on how it works than how it looks. The only person I need to impress is me. We also tend to be more mature in our outlook on life and more secure in our manhood than average. And we're smarter too.

In my book, a 5 equals a great golfer. Brag away! Sorry about your back. I quit playing golf and started hiking instead. Love it. No fancy clothes, green fees, and chasing that little white ball around. Just open trails and no score card.

Welcome Steve, I'm sure you're going to enjoy your car.
Bill sums up so nicely what we're about Enjoy the exclusivity of the F34.

I believe it was your great American writer Mark Twain who famously said - 'Golf, a good walk spoiled'

I walk in the winter as much as I can to stay in shape. I don't care for it a bit. I'd play golf even if I had to ride, but I need to stay in shape in the summer as well, and the game keeps my mind off the boredom of walking.

Looking to be banned from Scotland, laddie?
BTW, a few hundred years back the Scots gave the gift of the game of golf to the Irish. In return the Irish gifted the Scots with the bagpipes. The Scots didn't realize that it was a joke. Anyway, we've now got a phrase to describe the wankers who diss our F34s because of how they look: Immature, insecure, unintelligent and unattractive. |

Warning: My best golfing buddy, Bill, turned down an offer to hike with me maybe 10 times. He claimed he would rather play golf. Then one day at a week moment he said yes and went on a hike with me on one of our local mountains. That was 20 years ago and he has given up golf and has hiked and backpacked with me and others all over the Bay Area and Sierra Nevada Mountains. Hiking can be contagious. http://www.everytrail.com/best/hiking-new-hampshire |

Hiking in NH involves large hills, if not mountains, which are not compatible with arthritic 66 year old bodies. Besides, as a young man I did enough hiking through scenic Southeast Asia to last me at least two lifetimes.

I have found everyone on here very helpful and nice. My Porsche forum when I had my 911 was horrible. Bunch of rich people who looked down on you if you didnt have a turbo car. The BMW owners are a way better class and so is my dealer. Even as much as I loved the Porsche and would love to get into a Panamera I dont want to leave this forum or my dealer. Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Not sure I am going to have a great relationship with my dealer. First off, they are not my dealer as I haven't bought the car from them, it is a lease and goodness knows where the lease company gets them from (probably the lowest bidder). I didn't waste too much of the dealer's time and didn't use them for a test drive once I realised that they were not going to be competitive on the lease. In fact, they wouldn't even quote a lease, they only wanted to push a PCP and that is clearly far more expensive as it seems to be based around the idea of over-charging the monthly payments so that I build up a bank of value towards the next car. Great idea for the dealer, not especially helpful to me as i clearly explained why a 2 year lease works for me.
