Calling CP F8X owners
Hi All,
New to forum, just ordered F80 Competition Pack in Yas.. coming in 4 weeks.. currently some where over the Indian Ocean.. my first BMW ever.. so quite excited.. I'm curious to anyone who already has taken delivery and their thoughts on the CP exhaust note..particularly over the MPE or aftermarket kit and if the significant price difference is worth it over what the CP offers.. it's quite difficult to determine much over Youtube videos.. just after some real world experience.. Cheers for any comments |

Beat me mate; mine not turning up until October!
I, too, am intrigued on this difference - there seems to be comments that the CP is the normal exhaust with different tips & the valves open more of the time but also a lot of people getting rid of the MPE (too noisy?) |

Hey mate I have also ordered a F80 M3 ZCP should dock in Sydney 13/06/16 and then another 10 days or so for the dealer to get the car ready for delivery. I will post pics and videos once I receive the car. Does anyone know what the Status detail Liner Release on Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (the freight company) means??

It just means the car is ready to be released from the ship once it docks.
I have a comp pack arriving in Port Kembla on 24 June on the Morning Cindy. Can't wait. My F10 M5 is already starting to play up as I think it knows it is on the way out .... |

Spent time with a CP F80 up close today! Thoughts are:
- The 666M Wheels look much better in person than photos. I think with a small drop and some spacers they would look better again. The fact they are 20" makes them look good too and surprisingly for an M car they've signed off on it having 30 profile rubber all around. - Exhaust does sound different to standard.. not actually louder, if anything a little quieter (although this car only had 40km on it) but it does sound deeper. The difference is pretty subtle so without hearing a CP and non CP side by side it's hard to tell. If I ever have a CP and non CP at the shop at the same time I will definitely do a video comparison. |

The CP exhaust sounds much better than the normal exhaust, but it is no match for the MPE. You may be able to deal with the stock CP sound but the MPE on a CP car has the sound satisfaction turned up to 10, then there's the looks, the MPE looks much better as it's more hidden and the tips look ten times better.
I have a standard car with an MPE and actually wish it was louder. |

My ZCP does not arrive for a couple of months. Anybody care to discuss ceramic brakes - if you install aftermarket unit how does this affect the warranty? What would happen if you install the M performance ceramic brakes but not from the dealer - does this affect the warranty?

Mines been sitting at the dealership for 4 weeks!
long story short, BMW finance screwed me over for 4 weeks with the run around. Last Friday I FINALLY had enough and sourced my own finance with Macquarie and got it approved within 4hrs! Why didnt I do it sooner? Cause Im an idiot Anyways, picking up car within a week. YAY |

Mate I'm in the same boat the car has been with them for 2 weeks still waiting on BMW Finance for approval. I heard they are being audited by E&Y due to breaches of responsible lending criteria. Might just source my own finance it is becoming a joke. The article below explains a lot
