Today Was a Perfect Day for a Car Washing

The Loudoun County water ban ended last week so I couldn't ask for a nicer day to handwash the E90 for the first time since last summer!

My right arm is about to fall off from...

- Wheel scrub for all the brake dust buildup (twice)
- Zaino Z7 car wash and towel dry
- Zaino Z18 claybar treatment
- Wipe-down of door jams and engine bay
- Zaino Z5 polish application and wipe off
- Zaino Z2 polish application and wipe off
- Zaino Z8 spray seal
- Zaino Z16 tire gloss
- Zaino Z12 glass cleaner
- Tire pressure adjustment

Spent at least 6 hours on the spring cleaning and didn't even get to the interior yet. Good thing I have a two-car garage to do the polishing after dusk. I'm afraid to take the car out tomorrow since it's supposed to rain in the morning

I'm jealous. I bet your car looks great!

My car has to sit outside, so there was no chance I was going to wash it today. Maybe tomorrow after the rain stops. Then it's supposed to rain again Tuesday.

Probably just an ONR wash tomorrow.

Soon, very soon, I'm going to pull out all the stops and hit it with 106FF and the Flex, then re-apply the Zaino. That's an all-day affair and requires a garage. But I have to get that done before the baby comes, when I'll have absolutely no time for detailing.

Believe me, his car looks terrific.

On another note, yesterday, I washed, clayed, polished, and Zaino-ed. It took freakin' all day long. My car looks better than it has in a long time, but damn am I sore. And now it will rain tonight.

No worries. The nice thing about Zaino is it will be like new once you wash.

Mine's about to get messed up tonight with the predicted rains. Maybe an ONR weekend, but I'm still sore from the marathon session yesterday. We'll see.

Yes. I got it around Christmas, but hadn't really used it for the whole car until a few days ago. It's a very nice machine.

Seriously, my car has never looked so good as it did after the polish and Zaino. Then, driving home tonight along I-66, got nailed by another f-ing rock. This is the second major rock chip I've gotten on 66. At least this one didn't leave a dent like the first one. I've got to look into Langka or whatever, because these look horrible.

Other than that frustration, my car looks great and I can't say anything bad about the Flex. It is a MARATHON session to try to do it all in one day, though. I'm not doing that again. Next time, I'm splitting it up into at least 2 or 3 days.
