5. Flat head screw driver

Stock engine bay:

Step 1: Remove the plastic pieces (2) and center piece using 8mm the flat head screw driver.

Step 2: Remove the 3 wires from the stock air box and the air tube.

Hi George,

Remove the 3 wires and leave them there till you install the HVI and clamp everything down... Remove the ps bracket and reinstall with the relocation bracket and the provided black oxide bolts and lock nuts.

Let me know if you have any other questions. It is very simple once you do it yourself. Have a great weekend guys!! BTW All tracking numbers for yesterdays shipment have been sent!!

Best Regards,
Max-

The wires are connected to the OEM airbox with rubber grommets...take those off the OEM box....Once you install the intake there are three prongs there for you to connect those rubber grommets back onto the intake to make it look neat...Look at you Logic intake, you will see off to the side a bracket with three tooth like notches, thats where the wires go...just insert the rubber pieces onto it!!The wires are hooked up on the back of the OEM airbox on the right side which is the driver side!

When you de-tach the air-tube just leave it detached...the Logic intake is going underneath that airtube...Reason to take it out is so the intake can go underneath it...Once everything is installed, then simply plug the tube back into its original position....

No the airtube is the little plastic hose that u disconnected from the front of the airbox....its not the pipes that u loosen up the clamps on...two totally different things....Just look at the pictures posted above and print it out onto paper and bring it with u into the garage!!! Its really simple...Just print the pics!!!

Yes you got it...Its those wires outside that is connected to the original airbox...the rubber grommets( fasteners) are grey...

To take off that tube, just press the two side together that have ridges on them and pull straight up, but dont' pull it too hard just enough force to disconnect it..

Glad you figured it out George!! It is very self explanatory once you are installing the intake. The tube that leads from the brake booster plugs right back on. See the last image.

Best Regards,

Fit my e90 just fine! Thanks Max! I can definitely feel the car pull a tad harder up top. Finally, I can hear the little snails working. Happy!!

You guys realize that the DIY pictures are from a sedan. There must be something wrong with your installation.

Do they provide you with the relocation bracket? that looks like the problem, you need to relocate to make more room.

If it angles up more then you'll have more room to slide the filter onto the pipe. If the fitting angles out more, then you won't.
You need to relocate the power steering reservoir by removing the stock bracket and using the bracket supplied in the kit. BTW, my 07 has the same bracket.

Push the blow off pipe toward the motor to get more room for the filter. I had to do the same thing. It's a tight fit but works fine.

Can you take another picture with a zoom out view of the relocation?

The picture you just posted does NOT have the PS fluid reservoir moved. There are no air hoses in the way
