Source for only the OEM Garmin mount?

It might not exist. But looking to get the OEM bracket that holds the Garmin unit. I am going to convert it to a phone holder, so I don't want/need the wires. Just the bracket. Is there any place one can purchase just the bracket?

It would be good to specify which Garmin you want to mount...the mount has been redesigned a number of times.

I thought that's what the gully in the ZSP seat was for, but since I've been using Waze and prefer to have the phone more visible, I've found this gizmo useful:

http://www.kenu.com/products/airframe-plus

(The current "street price" seems to be about $15 on Fleabay.)

I'm not answering your question but this seems to be cheaper and easier than the BMW bracket.

I'm betting its made exclusively for BMW and you can't get it without the entire kit. It's a $10 bracket that they want $60-$80 for... and you'll have to grind that little nub off if you want it to fit an aftermarket socket mount.

ECS has the full kit (ES#256206) - I'd say contact them and see if they can source you just the bracket.

If not, you can either buy the kit and sell the additional items OR have a shop duplicate the mount/bracket and then return the kit.

But... it's only $53 through ECS - most decent mounts can cost anywhere from $20 up to $65 and above I'm sure, so if you have to buy it and dump the wires it's a small loss in the end.

prodigymix I just checked BMW doesn't have the mount in the retrofit kit available separately at this time.
