2007
335i e92
$17K
Bought 4 years ago with 62k miles
6AT
Still own it. Daily driven, 450 miles per week. 130k miles now.
Likes: Beautiful, timeless design, N54 engine, affordable modding options for power, etc;
Dislikes: Expensive to repair and maintain compared to other brands. It's not an M4 or M6 Gran Coupe... lol. But in all seriousness, outside of the costly maintenance even with DIYs I absolutely love this car.

Bought last year with 72K

Still own it. 3 season daily.
Likes: Love my color combo. Comfy. Very fun to drive. Good Factory Stereo.
Dislikes: Maintenance. Possible expensive issues. Wear & Tear on Interior. BMW owners are assholes.

Still have it? Yes: 76,700 mi.
What you like most and/or don't like about your ride:

Likes:
Steering weight
Fuel economy
Torque
Acceleration
Exhaust note
Very reliable
Excellent acceleration
Very comfortable
Handles great
Programmable customisability
Comfort Access
Adjustable side bolsters
iDrive
Quietness
HK sound system
LED angel eyes
Folding mirrors
2-stage stability control
Rain sensor
Interior orange accent lighting
Door lights
Adaptive xenons
Literally makes me enjoy driving every day
I want to take longer routes on purpose

Dislikes:
Voice recognition
5% speedometer error in all BMWs
Widow scratching issue that requires moleskin strips before doing tinting
Cup holders
Random rattles
Front brakes vibrate
Premium gas
Rear tires wear twice as fast as the front
Color transfer on leather seats
Staggered wheels
No A2DP music
Electric water pump isn't well-made; expensive to replace, and is in a silly location held on by one-time-use aluminum bolts
Lots of stuff to remove to get to things in the engine bay
Finding a safe way to lift the car was a chore and a half. So many rules and controversy!

What you like most and/or don't like about your ride: it was technologically advanced for a 2007. It based at $40,600 and has a true dual exhaust with two turbos. Today one could spend $100k and still have a fake dual setup. As they say, they don't build 'me like they used to. Try to buy a brand new car today for $52,680 (2016 dollars)and see what you get.....not a 335i twin turbo

Hey, please include when you bought the car!! Important when comparing!!!

2009 E90 335xi 60xmiles 18.5k MT sport +cold. purchased summer 2015. Love the potential power, but have a minor lag problem I can't track down.....love how the lci sedan looks. Personally I love it far above the coupe. I think majority disagrees but I can't see why!! Hate that I bought it from NY and it is covered in Manhattan dings and scrapes. Paint is in bad shape. Summer project...

What you like most: Because of the extremely low miles for the model year, I got extended warranty for 4 years, for $88 a month for 24 months with a $150 deductible.
Dislike: Woodgrain trim. Wrapping it this weekend.

Likes:
  • Aesthetics. Alpine White w/ Coral Red interior still looks beautiful IMO, and despite being nearly eight years old, the car still looks beautiful... It doesn't age like most cars on the road.
  • The feel. It's a pleasure to drive... Fast or slow. Coming from a 350Z, I've taken some long road trips, and the 335i is a pleasure to sit in for long periods of time. It's also just as fun to drive hard.

Dislikes:
  • No mechanical LSD (or option at the time). My 350Z did a little better in the rain/winter because of the LSD, and had that little extra performance. I sometimes regret not getting the XI for the NY winters (winter rims/tires are a pain in the ass).
  • Some of the materials feel a bit cheap. The trim on my steering wheel, and driver side door handle started to peel/bubble rather quickly.
  • That's it. I love her.

Steptronic
Yes still have it. Only issues was a failed water pump @72k and injector 5 (index 1) was bad and causing me to either misfire or run Lean @78k
What I like about it is how well it's built and coming from somewhat older American cars that cost 25k brand new this was a huge upgrade. The first Drive I fell in love with it, and had to play stupid with sales man like I just want something newer lol.
What I hate is the fact that almost everything needs coding, and no lsd (when u upgrade turbos this is a must) Other than that I've been a happy camper

To each their own.... but I love my car (only at 80k now).

Plus, I'd hate to buy a new car today. There is no 3-Series coupe! The 2-Series is getting a little better looking, but isn't there yet IMO. And the 4-Series is a boat.

The M2 is the only new BMW I've liked since I bought my car... and it's not that impressive.
