Best Place To Gas Up At?
Curious to see where all you guys gas up at. I've read Shell V-Power is good for the E92 335i's up here in Canada.

Costco. Never had a problem with gas there and usually way cheaper than everywhere else.

Yup. Even if you never set foot inside the warehouse to buy anything, you can make up the money in fuel savings after ~15 fill ups.

Costco is also top-tier now, so I don't see any reason not to use it. Not sure how it is in Canada, but down here just getting gas will pay for the membership fee.

I only fillup at Chevron corporate owned stations. No mom and pop stations. Costco is great that they seem to maintain their stations to new condition as well.

Shell prices aren't great but they offer significant discounts with the grocery store points cards, even less with certain credit cards. The main grocery stores in my neighborhood give gas reward points and the stations are on the same street, so it's not that much more expensive than Arco/BP.

I only use Chevron. Back in the day I used to do Costco gas, but they were always so busy they had a man there assigning you a pump. If the pump you were assigned had the hose on the wrong side of your filler you had to drag it all the way across your car and risk scratches. Fuck that.

I can assure you that Costco doesn't use sub-par gas.

BP primarily since I've been an Amoco card holder way before it was acquired by BP. Haven't had any issues with BP gasoline. Like another poster said, I only get my fuel at corporate owned and operated BP gas stations.

Nowadays everyone should be using a 5% gas card. Costco Citi Visa will be 4%, up from 3%. But I don't see why my 5% Visa wouldn't work starting in June.

It's better to be consistent with your gasoline brand than actually choosing one. Just find one of the top tier ones near you and stay consistent with it or the similar alternatives. In my area, there's a lot of Shell stations, so I fill up with Shell a majority of the time. Other times I'll use BP or Exxon if there's no Shell nearby.
Plus most gas station brands have some sort of rewards program, so it benefits you to stay with one. You gotta fill up anyway, might as well get at least something slightly cheaper out of it. |
