Should I buy this car or what?

I bought my '11 335i just over a year ago and love it. It has nearly every option I crave (X Drive, winter package, convenience package, Premium Package, Navigation, Sport Package, Comfort Access, etc...), but I have the opportunity to go to another level.

It's a 2013 335i Coupe that has even more...it has the X Drive but is an M Sport. Color is Space Gray metallic with a Coral red interior, and it has everything my current car has and the price is $31,900. It has just over 28,000 miles on the odometer and a very clean history (one owner, no accidents).

I checked every reference I could find and the price comes up to about $36,000 in every instance. Am I missing something here, or is this a great deal?

Since op was talking about 335i coupe, it is an e92 as well.

No idea why would it be an upgrade as they are basically the same cars.

BTW there's no way an e92 listing more than 30k would be considered as good deal. They just don't worth that much anymore.

I'm going from a 2011 E90 with (now) 56,000 miles on the odometer to a 2013 with M Sport and 28,200 miles on it. It has everything mine has and more. NADA book was $36,000 and the KBB value is showing $34,400, and Edmunds is showing over $35,000.

It most certainly isn't 'the same car'.

I'm going from a 2011 sport model to a 2013 M Sport with 30,000 fewer miles. I have the money and the 2013 is selling for thousands under book value. State you case a little better or you're sounding kind of silly.

i would keep the current car. E90 LCI models do really look very nice and not worth the jump to the E92 LCI.

from what i understand, you want the following options:
- coupe body style
- m sport package
- color combo
- newer year + mileage
- think it's a good deal

i'll tell ya, as mentioned, the E90 LCI is already a nice looking car. the 4 doors body style is really helpful and you don't have to deal with the often failing seat belt butler pole.

i would say the m sport package is the most compelling reason you would want to change. it's got the nicer aesthetic stuff already on the car. but you can change your bumper on your current car and look nicer than them.

can't do anything for color combo, but aesthetics again.

mileage and age of car, sure, if a car is younger and has lower mileage it'd look more attractive. but how much money would you lose to change? is it worth it?

look at it this way. you just got married a year ago and your wife has every quality you wanted. she can cook, clean and supports you. next you see a younger girl in the bar, bigger rack and younger age. what would you do? would you divorce your wife and lose 50% of what you have for the new girl?

Remember that the grass is always greener on the other side. I've been in a coupe for 2.5 years now (not including my old e92 328), and would sucker punch Bernie for an m-sport e90. Well, I'd do that anyway.

Since the responses started turning negative, I went back and re-read your original post. I missed the fact that you've only had your current car 1 year. I think that's the reason some people are arguing against the switch to the 2013. In the end, it's only money, if you can afford the newer car and you'll be happier, then buy it! It'll have at least 1 year warranty left and appears to be priced right.

Let us know.

Depends on what you can sell your car for. I prefer the E92 over the E90 for sure.

We don't tend to make the best financial decisions here, so you're right, if you like it, get it!

We live in a world of political correctness now....even Suze's video where she blasted people for leasing cars or even buying new ones, it was taken down. I always loved to post a link to it everytime someone was going from a '15 to a '16 because the '16 had two 12v lighter sockets instead of 1 and it was such a great feature...

Since you're getting such a great deal, do you plan on passing along a similar amount of savings to interested buyers of your 2011, particularly to those giving you the confirmation that you need in this thread?

If so, then yes, buy the new car.

Take the money you were going to spend on the new car , lease a cheep apartment go back to the bar find that younger girl with the better rack, set her up in the new place , keep your wife for every day use and get your rocks off at the new place when you find the time.
Get it. Never hurts to have a two car garage
