A/C vent not blowing much air
One month into my first BMW and now issue #2. My AC isnt blowing much air at all. The air is cold but the volume of air is like its on low. The fan is making lots of noise so I dont believe its a fan issue. It also worked fine up until today on the way home. The back vents are now blowing at all. I tried several adjustments to recirc the air and then fresh. Even opened and closed the vents to see if it would help. Nothing seems to work.

Main Issues of AC : why A/C vent not blowing much air
Issue #1: Dirty air channel
Long story short, a filthy air channel keeps your A/C from conveying enough air around your home. Arrangement: Change the air channel in the event that it's filthy. Discover the channel either behind your arrival grinds (the metal spaces in the roof where air gets sucked in) or in an opening before the heater/air handler unit. Issue #2: Frozen evaporator loop Your A/C cools air by blowing it over the evaporator loop. Be that as it may, if the loop gets excessively cool, the buildup on it will solidify, transforming the curl into a major piece of ice. (See right picture.) That ice restrains the stream of air into your home. You will know whether the evaporator curl is solidified if the refrigerant line outside is likewise secured in ice. Reasons for a solidified evaporator curl include: Low wind stream over the curl brought about by messy channel, blocked return/supply vents, and a breaking down blower. Refrigerant undercharge brought about by a refrigerant break. Arrangements: Turn off the unit with the goal that it has an opportunity to defrost the ice develop. Change the channel (in the event that you haven't as of now). Open and unblock any supply vents and return grinds (the metal spaces that blow and suck in air individually). Call an A/C tech to check your refrigerant level, evaporator loop and blower. Issue #3: Air conduit issues Like your veins bear blood your body, your air pipes bear air your home. So any issues with the conduits can restrain the conveyance of air around your home. Conceivable air pipe issue that can bring about powerless wind stream include: Cracked supply-side air conduits Free or separated ventilation work Flex pipe has wrinkles or twists Arrangement: Check your flex pipe (in the event that you have any) for any crimps or twists. Else, you should contact an A/C tech to look at your air conduits for issues Issue #4: Blower issues While your air channels convey the air, your blower is the part that is compellingly moving air around your home. Some blower issues can prompt frail wind current, including: Messy blower wheel Free, worn fan belt (do you hear a squeaking clamor?) Broken/breaking down blower engine Arrangement: Contact an A/C tech to look at and fix the blower. |
