stabbed in the heart
Pretty much the metal part of my seat belt stabbed into the leather part of my door...Is there any way to fix this or do I have to get a entirely new part for the door?

Damn dude. To repair you basically are going to do a patch and dye job with lots cleaning and some sanding in between. Will require plenty of time and patience and may not even come out like you want it to. My suggestion... go on eBay and get a replacement. You can usually find them for decent prices. Best of luck man.

Ebay or parts recyclers for $50. Done.
Normally stabs in the heart come at greatly increased costs. In the future, tell the hulk to take it easy when he shuts the door. :-) |

That part of the door is leather?
In the coupe it's not. Best thing to do is to remove the door panel and apply a patch of some sort from the rear of the panel. You will have a small visible line but who see that anyways. |

I know common sense and general safety seem to be elusive to most these days but don't all states have seat belt laws at this point? I'm all for stupid people not breeding but this just seems to be borderline idiotic to me.

There are deaths it seems every week on the news where occupants are ejected from the vehicle. We rode in a minivan for a short distance without a car seat for my son. I know we're talking 3 blocks. The driver was a MD and said statistically a baby seat is useless, so he doesn't use one for his son if his wife is also in the van. I kinda thought the logic was flawed...
