Audio Aux

Hey guys, I have a 2008 e90 320d, and recently I swapped out the alpine hi-fi amp because the last one was water damaged. I haven't used the aux function for a few weeks, and now I try to use it, it instantly reverts back to the previous audio source when selected without interrupting sound. Has anyone encountered an issue like this before? I'd like to get it fixed, but if I have to I'll just use a radio emitter on my phone. Thanks

amp shouldn't have anything to do with the aux it comes through the radio or idrive or the mulf module in some cars.

I forgot to mention the ulf was also damaged, caused the idrive to funk out real bad so I removed it.
