MMP rear inlet is kicking my A$$!
There's a screw head that's eating up the rear silicone inlet like crazy down near the turbo. Obviously it can't be removed, so my next step is to to try and cover it up when I try feeding the inlet in place again. By the way, I was completely unaware of any of the scraping until I removed the inlet to grease it a little more.
Just a word of caution to be careful and watch out for it.

Try wrapping your inlet pipe with some high temp silcone tape? Maybe with some thin metal or strong fabric(beer can? lol) under the tape as a reinforcement? http://www.pure-silicone-tape.com/ For that matter, header wrap might be a tough solution? |

Is this on a xi? I installed mine a week ago. If i were you id remove downpipes. Pipe should come down facing passenger side. Then twist it towards turbo once its lined up. I had trouble getting it to reach the turbo, but a crowbar and pushing down from top got it. Good luck.

I repaired the hose with liquid tape and all is well. This was on a 335i, and I highly recommend removing the V-brace (10 minute job). I absolutely can't imagine doing the job with it in place. For those that don't know, the V-brace I'm talking about is the large steel "V" that's connected to the underside of the car with 6 or so bolts. Piece of cake to remove and well worth the effort.

I just put mine on last week. i highly suggest greasing it. Tried without grease with no success. Wasted 45 minutes. Decided to grease it and tie a rope around the bent. shoved it in there. went underneath the car and pulled on the rope. within 5 mins, majority of the inlet was through.
