Yes there is a lot of threads on this. I want current advice. My car has been walnut blasted. And is up to date on all maintenance. I have stock DP's and FMIC. If I go with JB4 I could go to MAP1 or MAP5 for a less aggressive tune. Is there a less aggressive MAP for the MHD so I don't end up overheating until I order my new FMIC.
So my car is basically stock. -On 91 Octane -DCI -Walnut Blast -New Injectors & Coils -Stock FMIC -Stock DP's I just don't wanna push my car to much and mess something up. I know that with the MHD people push around 18-19 PSI. I don't track my car but do go to BMW meets from time to time and push my car to the limits. |

Boost on its own does not mean much ... MHD hit more boost but way less timing
Both (JB4 or MHD) are safe for a stock car

Thank you. How safe is it to run MHD on a stock car with nothing but stock IC? Just don't push it to much basically?

Both are great platforms. I am very happy with MHD. I had JB4 and back end flash, but the drivability was too rough. The mhd flash, the car behaves more like oem.

Jb4 with the back end flash as well as the jb4 connect kit. It's a great setup. I can log and see my gauges as well as my ethanol content on my phone all via Bluetooth.

So why did this kids post count not change?
Anyway... I chose JB4 for its continued support and simple install. My first performance mods were JB4 and BMS charge pipe.

MHD Custom Tuning
Make sure to get a good look at boost and what shop temps were. This is an easy 500 whp in lower temps
