Goodbye to the GT

Sadly it goes back today after 18 months and 29,000 miles of perfect service. It's been my best car by a mile. Fast, comfortable, reliable, enormous fun, perfect for days out with the grand-nieces (identical triplets) and 42.5 mpg.

If you really twisted my arm to find criticisms, the best I could come up with would be:

Front cupholder cover is a pain, just ended up throwing it in the glovebox.

A £47k car should have folding mirrors with nearside dipping on reverse without having to shell out extra money.

Rear load area is not the best shape (Mondeo takes more stuff)

MSport steering wheel is just small enough prevent seeing the top and bottom of the display or the rain sensor without moving my head.

Hoping the replacement 335D Touring will be almost as perfect!!

Continue to enjoy your unique motoring experiences, hope to be back in 18 months!!

Must be good if that's all you can find wrong with it.

Totally agree. I echo all above and I had 590 miles from a full tank recently. A fairly boring tank, but still.
Averaging 44.7 and I do like to get away from the lights.......

It's good to have a change in vehicles when the time comes for a change.

"Front cupholder cover is a pain, just ended up throwing it in the glovebox."

I think your version didn't have the sliding cover like what most of us have. (your new Touring will have the same)

"A £47k car should have folding mirrors with nearside dipping on reverse without having to shell out extra money."

I believe it its the same on the all the 3 series models.

So all said and done no real issues with the car to be honest.
