Speakers in Enhanced premium sound

Hi to everyone.

I realized that now the BMW NA online configurator gives moe info about the premium sound system (as they call it). The thing is that it has 16 speakers and a 9 channel amp.

How can this work? What powers the other 7 speakers???

Why so much speakers? Where are they located?

Photos from the people that already have the car would be really appreciated.

The fact that the magnets on the speakers are from neodymium is really impressive. (assuming is really neodymium and not those cheap Chinese imitations).

Now a 1900 tag price sounds reasonable.

Base HiFi = 10 speakers/6-channel amp
- 4 channels for each of the midrange/tweeters sets (parallel/2 ohms)
- 2 channels for the pair of underseat subs (2 ohms)

Individual Audio option = 16 speakers/9-channel amp
- 7 channels for each midrange/tweeter sets (parallel/2 ohms)
- 2 channels for the pair of underseat subs (4 ohms)

I know where 13 of the speakers are: 1 center dash, 4 front doors, 4 back seats, 2 rear deck, 2 subs under seat, but where are the other 3?

Three extra tweeters in coaxials (center and rear panels).
