Production Number vs Build Week

Hi Forum members,

I am trying to determine if relationship exist between production number and production week.

Please feel free to send me your Production Number and your Production Week (planned or confirmed) via PM.

I will share the results with the community once I have gathered enough data points.

Thank you for your help (hope it will work!!!)

Hey what's up!! I just started something similar

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1244232

I think it would be worth while also including geography, allocation number, build time.

Let's collaborate!

In your thread, you will need to add:
- production number
- production week (confirmed or not)

I am not sure BMW USA is giving out production numbers yet... I get the impression that is only BMW Canada (maybe some European countries?).

I believe the only cars that have a production number are HEA cars, I have yet to know a non HEA customer to get one.

Yes, sorry, I meant non HEA cars.

Non-HEA cars in Canada seem to have production numbers (mine and many others seem to anyway, not all).

I think BMW released some early modifiable allocations when they released the HEA cars. I was first on the list at my dealer, but the HEA (couldn't modify) car wasn't what I wanted, so they did a dealer trade for a modifiable unit and I got a production number back in January.

My car seems to be about 45 days behind the HEA cars and just went into "production" today. It's one of the Week 15 build date cars. While the actual HEA cars are on the ground in the US.

Congrats on your car entering "production" today. I have a week 15 HEA car as well. I just got off the phone with BMWNA and found out my car went into production today as well. Now I can start the count down. So glad I'm not waiting and hoping for an allocated car.

Nice. Maybe our cars will be boat mates.

Are you tracking it on bmwusa.com? It gives you something else to do when there's no interesting posts here. It's like watching paint dry though.
