WTF - Still no US Allocation?
I'm number two at a dealer and in the order bank, but no allocation! I'm going crazy! Anyone else feeling the same pain?!?

In the bank but lower on my dealers list but supposed to get a 2016. Wish I had a production number. I hear that BMW will release allocations next week, I will believe it when I see it though. Clearly at some point they are going to have to start assigning production numbers so its just a matter of time. |

I would be freaking out if I was waiting on allocation for ED right now. I think most folks have given up on ED until BMW has steady allocations going on the M2 but it would be an awesome car to do ED. Just have to be flexible right now I suppose.

I'm have the #1 slot as I didn't want the HEA car and still waiting for allocation. My guess they will release them on April 14th.

Since the release isn't until April I would assume allocations would not be given out until the first week of April.
However... The release isn't until the 15th. BMW might just sit on allocations until May. Because they already have the HEA cars en route. I don't remember how we did it for the 7 series launch. Either way we should hopefully be seeing allocations April 4th/5th at the earliest! |

Still deciding on whether to just pick it up stateside or do an abridged ED trip. Might do a solo, soul-searching, ED trip.

When i got a production number at the end of January it was for a build date of Mid April. The only other US production numbers I've seen have been for that same period. It's looking like just a trickle of 2016 cars at this point. I'm betting that April allocations will be 2017 models at this point.

That's exactly what they told me back in January "Week 15 build schedule" You can register the production number at bmwusa.com under My BWM and track the progress. It should get exciting in the next 10 days. I'm estimating end of May as well. |

Here's a thought... what if BMW is pushing the M2 release as close as possible to a MY 2017 release to avoid giving everyone the better maintenance plan?

Could be, but that factory is making car all day over there. Are they making 2017 models already at the reduced maintenance plan? Or do they just want to delay production of a low margin car as much as possible?
