Would you give up a 2016 spot for a 2017 with...?
With the changes coming to the maintenance plan...Would you give up a '16 spot for a '17 with?
...Moonroof Option? ...more color choices? ...adaptive suspension? ...<insert another reasonable option>? GO!

Moonroof: Already drive two cars without it, don't miss it. Suspension: Less things to put into sport every time I start the car. Another reason not to wait would be the reduced free maintenance for 2017 models.

I'd give up my theoretical spot for CF roof and LED headlights. Other than that I'd probably keep my MY16 build.
I've been considering the M2 but don't need a new car right now.. the LCI/CS rumor will be very interesting as they will/could come to fruition by the time I am back in the market.

I use the moonroof on my other cars religiously... once every year whether I need to or not. That is to say, not a big deal, in fact I would not want one with a moonroof.
Other colours? Have to see what they are, but I am kinda liking LBB (and not just because it is the only fun colour available). Short answer, no - but I would be interested in what consolation might be available if I get bumped outside of my control. |

I have no interest in a moonroof, if it was an option I would never have one. I think the only thing that would make me consider a 2017 would be better colors. LBB has grown on me but I love dark blue metallics so if tanzanite, azurite etc etc were available in 2017 and I could get an early 2017 I probably would go that route. Heck as it is I will likely get one of the last 2016's that are built. In the order bank, dealer getting 12 cars and I am number 11 so I am not likely to get a car till late summer or early fall.

I bet there will be a decent price increase for a 17.

I agree. I bet it goes up 2-3k. Right now, the base price is actually cheaper than a 1M considering all the standard equipment. The 1M would have been optioned to roughly 55k to match what the M2 comes with standard.
