Is this true?

I posted in another thread about my "start up sequence" and in it i mentioned pressing M1 then also pressing auto start stop so it turns off as part of the sequence. Someone mentioned

"Also, auto start/stop remembers your last settings. I believe this was changed after the 2013 F30 shipped without this feature for all F30/F80 since."

Does this apply for Australian models at all or are we all pressing auto start stop off when we turn our cars on?

Mine is staying off. By any chance are your cars new & pending the first service? Could this be something changed during the first service?

Taking my car in for run-in service on Monday. I'll ask about turning it off. If they don't do it, I'll code it off!

I believe cars are programmed differently from region to region. Im in the U.S. And mine remembers my last setting, which has been set to off and has stayed off.

I have had my first service already and got the HUD update and such so a service won't change anything. I did enquire for this to be updated on my car, the dealership tried to charge me $400-600 (i forget how much) to do the deed.

So i guess Australia is out of luck on this one =( boo

Agreed!

I also found (Maybe placebo from others mentioning it in the forums) Exhaust sounded slightly different after update.

Finally the aircon has memory so if you turn it off then switch off your car, next time you turn your car on again the aircon remains off. Only thing that we need now is that damn engine auto button memory!

You can get the auto start/stop turned off at the dealer.

Been done here in Perth on a number of cars.

They want to charge me like $400 =( Did you pay for this? Or was it a free thing they did while you had your car serviced?

I believe LCI models have it installed by default. My cars is an old man so it needed to be updated.

Don't say LCI coz you'll end up upsetting someone in here!

I picked up mine on Feb 24 and I think it has the latest software. I even tried to update the maps (2015 V2) and it was already loaded.
