Car keyed

I'm in high school so it's not like it's out of the ordinary, but does anyone know/use a paint scratch/chip repairer (I have black sapphire if it makes any difference)? It's only a small, but semi-deep scratch on the trunk that's noticeable close up and I want to try and fill it in/cover it up.

How deep is it? May possibly be able to just buff it out.

If you try to fix it yourself it's likely any fix will be noticeable.

Main issue is metallic paint in itself is hard to blend
Second issue is smoothing the repaired surface to where it blends. Most likely wet sanding after painting the scratch is the best way - need experience.

The scratch doesn't look to bad in terms of defacing the trunk lid. First try compounding or polishing - go to a detailing site/forum.

If you attempt yourself ( worse comes to worse have a shop do a respray ) buy a used metallic painted trunk lid at a junk yard or car recycler, and attempt repairs. Try air-brushing and wet sanding, or Lanka/Color-Chip etcetera.

Also, don't worry yourself about it. It looks like a small scratch and sometimes it's best to just leave it. I really like the car color.

Ya I figured it would be best to either leave it or go pay for it to get fixed.... Thanks
