Haha, it even looks good frozen.

Question - will all the cars be equipped with the stone guard in front of the rear wheel arch? It's quite noticable in the first frozen picture.

The M2 that I saw yesterday at the Toronto auto show also had the stone guard. The BMW rep at the show confirmed that all production cars will have the stone guard. The F80 M3 also has a stone guard but it is much smaller.

Cool thanks, it doesn't generally seem too noticable in pictures, how's it look in person? Is the guard quite visable?

It definitely isn't as noticeable as that frosted M2 but you can see it if you look in the area that it is located. It certainly didn't bother me or affect the design of the car.I have never had a car with a stone guard. It will be interesting to see how it looks after a few years of driving.

I guess the wide arches are obviously going to be seceptable to stone chips, easier to replace some clear film than have to get the guards repainted in a few years time.

I mean the name kinda explains it - but is a Stone guard, is it only used during transportation or is that something that is always on the car to protect it?

Stone guard looks bad and once it starts to collect dirt, that outline will look worse.

I already told my sales rep i don't want it applied in production
