Lucky boy. Subaru's are well screwed together - hardly looks like it suffered much more than a dent. Almost looks like its been placed there.

How the hell did he manage that?! Looked cold but not that icy so did he just carry too much speed and added a high degree of steering ineptitude?

If you go the original video

http://youtu.be/S5NWcdq4Wf4

The comments state he was distracted by the man at the side of the road gesturing at him to slow down

Then hit brakes too late , swerved then off the side

Clueless. Having lost the back end, he must have still been on the throttle with the driven font wheels pulling the car into a tighter line across to the other side if the road. If you're going to attempt to power through the slide, at least give it some oppo.

Am I missing something. From the dash cam before crashes you can see the air duct on the bonnet. On the video after he stuffs it, I can't see a air duct on the bonnet?? Am I going blind??

It looks like them camera shifted and pointed skywards.

It's still there just not on camera because the camera came off its mount.

I reckon it must be me, but, I'm referring to when the guy videos from the road side looking down to the crashed car. I can't see the scoop on the bonnet. Almost like it's not the same car?

Right I see what you mean now, I think it's just a rubbish camera, the quality of picture isn't good or it's the glare and probably a bit of both.

Do you not think it's the same car?

I thought that as well. Probably is just glare in the 'after' shot but it's good not to automatically trust things you see on the internet!
