Lightbulb Non-Lighting Package, DRL with Headlights

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the cosmetic and lighting subforum or this one, but it seems to belong here more.

I do not have the lighting package, so the DRL is just the medial lamp of the two in the headlight unit. As soon as I turn on the headlights, the lateral lamp (headlight) turns on and the medial lamp (DRL) turns off. Is there any way to get the DRL to stay on when the headlights turn on? And if so, is it legal in CA?

You can configure DRL on the idrive lighting settings

In the lighting settings, there is only a choice for DRL on or off. I was wondering if it was possible to code the function of DRL to stay on when the headlights turn on, meaning there are 2 lamps per headlight housing that are lit.

Not Sure. On the lighting package both the halos and the headlights stay lit

rear DRL are off by default

you can code them on with

Rear DRL Yes REM MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_L_OUTPUT sl_l Enables rear DRL
Rear DRL Yes REM MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_R_OUTPUT sl_r Enables rear DRL
