Best IPad Air 2 Case

looking at getting a decent case for an IPad Air 2.

Not an Otterbox, as its for my daughter and she will find it overly heavy.

The short list are pretty much Logitech ones.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Tex...W0W6C8A76438EX

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B..._al_bw_g147_i5

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Ultim...+with+keyboard

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker®-Bluet...90FCFQAT6TC0E4

Pretty much decided on a key board with case as opposed to seperate keyboard.

Anyone an alternative or experience (positive / negative) with my short list.

Cheers.

Hi Brigand,

I just got this - its easily as good as the official ones.

And 15 quid to boot!!

KHOMO Ultra Slim Lightweight Case with Stand for iPad Air 2 - Dual Grey Italic

My wife has an included keyboard with hers and she finds it not overly intuitive with the touch screen.

Thanks for this thread Brig, you've made me realise I could really do with one of these as I do type quite a bit on my ipad, mainly on this forum , but also for work emails etc. So I've ordered the Logitech one for xmas!

Me as well.

It's for my daughter, she will use it a bit for work stuff and also home stuff.

Also I never understand people buying cheap cases to protect a £600 bit of kit.

Mine is due to arrive today.

I went for the Logitech Blok.

I have moved to the Pro as when travelling for a day or two I can do most of my work on it and not need to carry two devices around and get into a smaller bag.

Hopefully Santa will be bringing a smart cover Keyboard. I could not believe how slim it is, a major factor in ceasing to use most of the iPad Air covers with keyboard I have tried.I suppose not needing a battery helps greatly in keeping the size down.

The Logitech stuff is very good, functional and not a bad price, our cost is £55 + VAT so the Amazon price of £75 is good.

It might be a little large for some people but really can recommend the ability to work in two individual windows, number keys, oh and for those of us who are a certain age the ability to watch movies on it without needing your glasses!

You can do the split on an iPad Air 2 too. I've been trying it out to see whether I'd find it useful on a pro. If you're in a messenger conversation that is very handy to open on the side without interrupting what you're doing in the main window. Or having a calculator available

I'm not sure about a keyboard though. I find the lack of mouse/trackpad support puts me off. If I have to move my hand around to select icons etc then I might as well have my fingers already on the on-screen keyboard.

So I'm happy with the official Smart Cover on my air 2. If I'm travelling I have a laptop bag with padded pockets to protect the back (or you could get the silicon cover).

If you absolutely wanted access to a physical keyboard I'd personally get a separate one so you don't have to carry the extra bulk/weight every time. Logitech do a Bluetooth one that packs away into a plastic case which doubles up as an iPad stand

Yep daughter loves her Logi Blok keyboard case.

God was fun trying to fit the iPad to the case.

Sorted though

The Blok does look a bit of a beast!

I have got one gripe with the Type+ though, when closed it is only held shut by magnets at the bottom end, the top end doesn't appear to be magnetic at all! I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be? :

Yeah it's a beast, however she broke her iPad 2 ....

I would check out another Type+ at PC world or some place or ask on Amazon.
