Interesting you say that, what happened at impact (it was a tree) was that the trunk went down the side of the engine and wing, pushing the chassis member all the way back to the bulk head, and turning the wheel inside out as well.





The offending tree:


The car then span itself out from the tree and ended up in the field, basically he lost the back end, tried to correct and the car speared off across the road front on to the tree...police said he was a very lucky lad.



You can see that the car is in 4th, I questioned him on the speed he was going at he said 50mph.....yeah right, was my reply.
