First time using concierge service

So, was going to a meeting tonight, knew roughly where I was going but as I was stuck in heavy traffic I thought I'd try the concierge service.

Dialled through ok....on hold for 3 minutes and got through to a chatty friendly chap. All going well. Told him where I was trying to go. Spelt it out 3 times and he said he understand. Fear the Scottish accent was confusing him.

He came back to say he got and and he would send directions through. Excellent, I thought. That worked well!

The message came through immediately and I clicked on it to give me directions. I knew I was a couple of miles away, so was surprised to see the distance to destination was 27 miles and the sat nav was taking me to the other side of Glasgow! Just glad I didn't follow the directions!

Still no idea where he was sending me to.

Not overly impressed with it.

Rant over!

Garage List
I use it on a regular basis and it's been fine for me so far.

Rang it once, got fed up with waiting for them to answer and haven't tried since.

Init!

Use 'hey Siri' and you don't even have to press a single button!

That's it. I've given up with technology.

I've bought an A to Z to navigate my way round! 😀

Normally it's quite good but last Sunday it was awful. Took them 10 minutes to find the place I was looking for (pub in a village near Rugby) and then they sent me directions to a different pub with a slightly similar name in Crewe. I only use it out of sheer laziness though. It's generally quicker to stop and Google via my phone.

Don't need to stop, just say "OK Google" and ask. If your phone is connected via Bluetooth a long press of the "talk" button on the steering wheel starts Google without the need to say anything.
