New Car Waiting - Activities

Hmm this is waiting lark is no fun for sure. So I've got the following in hand already:-
  • Excessive time spent on car forums
  • Last minute checks on spec regret @ BMW configurator
  • Sorting Insurance etc
  • Pestering Dealer about M Performance bits
  • Few more detailing bits and bobs and a power washer

However what else can I be prepping please, any thoughts on how some of this stuff will work practically:-
  • USB stick ready to upload masses of music to the Hard Drive. What format can these be in, I've all my music in an iTunes library is this a problem in itself to convert?
  • In the end I ticked the advanced Bluetooth although in this day and age not too sure why. I've an iphone6 and see the cradle is now £150! Can anyone advise of somewhere cheaper to get them or is that the best £150

Think that's it for now, anything else to sort, despite being an 'old hand' at this recently my mind has gone blank.

PS Suspension will be assessed when she arrives so nothing to prep there other than my mini step ladder for entry and egress yes I know

It's worse than waiting for Christmas as a child.

I ordered at the end of October and the last 5 weeks have crawled. My better half is ready to kill at the mention of which USB stick or what cleaning products I should get.

My browsing history switches from these forums to BMW to VIN checker to Amazon and repeat .... I'm going mad

I just dragged and dropped my iTunes music from my laptop straight onto a USB stick, plugged it in and away it went. No conversion carried out.

Hell yes, great thanks PA11L! Does it take long uploading to the Car, I might be close to 20Gig but think I'll cut 'What does the Fox say' etc now the kids have grown up. Shame would be good in HK audio.

If I recall it doesn't take too long, however I was no where near 20gb! I think if you convert them each track takes up a little less mb's but don't think its that significant.

I just used to drag and drop onto the USB and play from there for most of my 'choons'. I'm sure there was a thread saying that playing from the USB gave better quality as it was in digital format but I'm not sure if this applies to the HDD but I suppose it would. Are the iTunes in analogue??

To be fair I may be talking complete rubbish

Paul.

Yeah I'm sure the 'what does the fox say' tune was for the kids!

Overexcitement about the new car has you talking crazy.

Booked in the car at detailers doing it yourself/without?

Checklist of what you need to check or go through on collection?

wouldn't bother with the cradle Chris. Doesn't give you much at all.

I bought one for mine and used it once. Apart from BMW apps (gash!) it only gives you charging - doesn't even support the external antenna on an iphone.

total waste of money imho

Yep - put that towards the new springs.

Talking of which - when you decide to get them done give me a shout. Might be able to get a discount for two at once

Struggling to find somewhere local as the BMW dealers won't touch them (ACS) now round here as they're not BMW approved so be interesting to see what you come up with.
