side mirror tilting in reverse?

Hey, I just picked up my 2016 228i few days ago, but I realize the side mirror never tilt down at all whenever I am in reverse, I have put the mirror switch to the driver's side, but it just never tilt down.
I do not have premium package, so does it means it doesn't come with the tilting function?

Make sure the mirror switch control is slid towards the driver's side mirror instead towards the passengers.

It is such a useful function for avoiding kerb rash and yes, it is activated via the side mirror switch position.

Sounds like you need to visit your dealer.

Is your mirror tilted down already?

If not, try using the 4 way to move the mirror up, down, left and right, then re adjust it to your desired position.

My previous car had the same feature and if the mirror motor detected something was "stuck" it would not auto tilt. Rotating it around would free it up.

Just a thought (shy of taking it to the dealer).
