FS: 18" Winter wheels and tyres £675

Hello All,

Now the weather is getting colder, anyone want to buy some winter wheels/tyres...?

As per thread title, having sold my F30, for sale are my 4 Style 415 winter wheels and tyres. They have been on the car for 2 winters (7 months and approx 7,500-8,000 miles in total) and stored by BMW when not on the car.

The tyres have between 5.2mm and 5.7mm of tread and are very evenly worn. They are 225 45 18 95V (M&S) RFT Pirelli W240 Sottozero S2) so can be swapped front to back. (being V rated rather than the more usual H rated means they are rated to 149mph, which is an approved rating even on cars capable of higher speeds - indeed it is virtually impossible to find winters rated higher than that)

The wheels are in very very good condition with no scuffs, and only 2 very small stone chips (both pictured with a £1 coin for comparison). The tyres have no visible damage and have never needed any puncture repairs.

The 4 centre caps are also included and are also immaculate.

I bought them new from BMW in November 2013 and are therefore BMW approved and came as a package. I bought them in November 2013, and they do not include the TPMS valves (so I guess if you have a newer F30 you either have to put up with the warning bleep every journey or acquire and fit the valves - there are quite a few threads on here about that.)

The wheels are in Balsall Common in the West Midlands (near Kenilworth) between Birmingham and Coventry. (I am travelling to the South East, specifically Rochester, and the North West, specifically near Burnley on each of the next 2 weekends, so I may be able to deliver)

The 415 style wheel (also called 'turbine-style') are 18" and will fit any f3x (except 3 series GT as that has higher profile tyres) and will go over the M Sport brakes on a 335d)

I found them fine on non-snowy/icy roads during the last 2 winters, although as you can see from one of the pics, they did get used in snowy conditions and were very good there.

To look at them on an f30 this link may help:
http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/se...re-config.html

Thanks for looking, and feel free to PM me for any more info.

ps - there are plenty of threads on here about whether winters are needed or not - please can you keep comments on here to questions about the wheels/tyres on here (or PM me) and save the 'are they worth bothering with or not' to those threads

pps - I know my patio looks a bit dirty, but my pressure washer broke during summer, but I have bought one based on the thread started on here yesterday!

pppps - NTG if you are ever allowed back on here, yes they were used on a car powered by diesel, but that doesn't mean they are polluted!

No. I can dont worry about diesel any more. Got it out of my system.

Seems a great deal for one of the tight gits on this forum.

PS Your patio is a disgrace

Nice coin collection sweels

Seems a very good price, might be tempted, will be speaking with the dealer Monday about price for them as the storage will be handy.

GLWTS... it looks a bargain price to be honest. I feel bad that I had to pay for a set like this new from BMW as there weren't any used sets around!

Yes, I felt the same at the time, even if there was a small discount as I bought a car from them. (Maybe I should have asked for them as a final discount to clinch the deal on the car!)

Yes I got them for cost price due to family being BMW staff, but it was still almost 3 times what you're looking for!

What car have you got now?

Full list price on bmw's website is just over £2k (oddly, £20 less if you do need the TPMS valves for the tyres). Admittedly, they might include a couple of wheel swapovers and a year's storage for that.

Absolute bargain, especially at the beginning of the winter season.

If I didn't have a set of winters for mine already then I'd have ripped your arm off.

More recently I wasn't getting the use out of the 335d that I had been, so I didn't feel I was getting my money's worth from it, and I got a good offer for it, so it was sold a couple of months ago.

As for the new car, I have downsized somewhat - Let's just say I now qualify for the same forum Brigand has recently joined (well, that's his Mrs's car!), and mine is also a red one. Not got the refinement or toys of the 335, but still good fun, and plenty of kit.

Provisionally sold - thanks for looking. (not sure if it's possible to update the title of a thread?)

Yes, just as you have picked up recently, it is a rioja red 208 gti. Good fun, bit of a go-kart compared with recent cars.

And (whilst admittedly this thread has gone somewhat OT, for both the thread and the forum, what Brigand and I both agree on, the banter, information, people - wel, most people - and general content on this forum is far better than the equivalent on the 208.

I drive the wife's every chance I get.

It's a cracking handling car.

Take delight in beating up 320 owners lol.

The tech kit v price is great.

You really need that digital speedo to keep you legal

Picked up the wheels from sweels tonight - ace guy and wheels are in fantastic condition. Thanks for a smooth transaction! Now for some TPMS sensors (for which it seems there are two varieties - why is nothing ever simple with these cars?).
