Winter wheels and tyres on

The promised cold snap has arrived so time to pop my recently acquired 17 inch BMW X1 wheels and Pirelli Sottozero RunFlats on my "smart price 330D"
Very happy with the look and the handling...TPMS works like a dream.

Well the 328i gets slagged off by most ...
I own 328i and just feel it offers the same level of performance as a 330D for a helluva lot less..

I've not owned or driven a 328i and won't slag it off, but can you say how you get 330d performance for so much less. Is it cheaper to buy or insure or run?
I've had 600 miles out of a tank before, so it's obviously not that.

Good move on the wheels though

The £1500 less it costs will easily be lost in it's worse depreciation and fuel economy, so I don't see how it costs less than a 330d?

Just £1500 less?? the 330D costs a bit more than that
Anyway its just a bit of fun...
I could not stretch to the 330D so got the "smart price" alternative...
Same great taste, same packaging .. for some reason just cheaper.
Most would not know the difference....
At least the wheels get the nod of approval :-)

With current discounts there is just £1500 difference between 330d & 330i

Did not realise it was so close to be honest, But I could not afford to buy new
Buying used from my last 6 months of looking appears easily 2k or more between the 2 cars and it was either an last model 330D or the new shape F30 with all the toys...
