F31 rear indicator bulb help

Ok so time for an obvious question.

Want to change rear bulbs on the Touring. Removed panel and bolts, and then you are supposed to just pull the assembly out but it won't shift...what am I missing? Didn't want to use brute force!! It wobbles about like it wants to come out...

Any vids about? Did everything as per manual but clearly I'm not doing something.

Pull, hard, it's a pain and you have to be careful to not scratch the bodywork too.

I figured I'd have to yank the thing out pretty hard (fnarr fnarr) but was maybe worries about breaking it! Will use a bit more force next time I can be bothered (it's dark now)

Cheers

Yes there's a kind of ball in a socket joint, you just have to pop the ball out of the socket.
