This is just screwy now. The dipped beam fault suddenly rectified itself when I pressed the horn. But the horn went from dual tone to single. A week later the dipped beam fault randomly came back and the horn went back to its normal dual tone. Can't replicate it again. Rang dealer who will charge for an investigation (out of warranty now) but I don't have much faith in them because of past issues. Has anybody got a clue why my F30 has got gremlins?

Horn was on single tone to start with (intermittent) and then went to one tone all the time. Fault is the horn itself dragging the circuit down - it will fail eventually. From memory, the fault was the horn that DIDN'T go off when dropped to single tone (if that makes sense) To put it another way, the one still working is the faulty one - believe it or not! Rukka

PS - there are no fuses for the horns - they are powered by integral fuse links in a control box located in the passenger side behind the front door pillar.
Hope this helps

That's what was happening on mine.
Mine was under warranty so horn was replaced and all was then ok. From memory, drivers side horn was ok and passenger side stopped working. Fault was on the drivers side horn drawing too much current and upsetting the control box. Seems quite common if you do a google search on it. Rukka .
