Hi Guys,

Been on the site for a while roaming around and thought i should introduce myself. Names Jerell and I recently acquired my 2008 335xi. Seems like a great forum and very informational. The 335 is going to be my daily once i take care of getting some winter tires, its also gonna hopefully be modded fairly much. An from what I've seen the N54 seems very mod friendly and boast some good numbers. I also have a 2014 WRX thats my toy but I gotta admit as much as i love my subie the 335 is a completely different animal and its a lot of fun to roll around in. I hope to speak with you all about things i may need help with down the road and in turn help anyone that may need any help from me. Ill have to figure out how to post pictures and when i do ill add some photos of the monsters that hide in the garage.

Congrats on the purchase. I would consider the following repairs if they haven't been done yet and depending on your miles:

Differential fluid
Power Steering fluid
Manual Transmission fluid (if it's a MT car)
Spark plug every 25k miles (when tuned)
Vacuum lines (3.5mm id silicone hose)
Coolant (50/50)
Intake valve cleaning (AKA walnut blasting)
RB pcv valve
Replace OFHG
Replace Valve Cover + Gasket
Water pump
TSTAT
Rear main seal
O-rings from the Vanos solenoids
O-rings from the camshaft sensors

How to post pictures:

You have two options really. You can upload directly to the forum as an attachment kind of like an email or you can use a third party image host like imgur.com. If you use imgur, they have a guide to help you upload your pictures. It's really easy.

Lol, I'm not. These are just issues that tend to pop up after 80k so if the OP is considering a high mileage car, this list should be kept in mind. I should have worded it differently but I didn't mean he should address these right when he gets the car. These are things that can go wrong or will need replacing if they haven't been replaced before.
