New 335d arriving on Monday - Spec Question
Hello all,
Been lurking on this forum for a while now. I ordered my 335d a couple of months ago (through a hire company) and am keeping it for a year. I haven't driven one before (although I have had a couple 320d m sports over the last couple of years) and I'm not worried about liking the drive etc. My only worry is that it's gonna be basic. There are no options fitted! Does it have anything to make it stand out a bit? Are the headlights LED runners, the brake calipers painted? If not, I may as well de-badge and surprise a few people at the lights! If anyone is interested I got it for £600 per month for 12 months. Might seem pricey but I've put it through a new business and they aren't bothered by credit checks etc. |

Hmm, cant recall the base spec, but the star is the drivetrain and gearbox but that's not likely to 'impress' people
Think it comes with Nav standard of course, did you get a spec sheet etc?

I could be wrong but I don't think it will have anything that sets it apart from other F30/F31s, other than the badges on the back.
So that will mean LED foglights, LED DRLs (I think?) but not angel eyes, and standard (non painted) calipers. It comes with leather seats and the business navigation system, but nothing overly exciting. It's a nice car aesthetically inside and out, but as noted above, the drivetrain is the star. |

I think it will have standard Halogens (not totally sure on that though) & non-painted calipers, so nothing on the outside to give it away. I would de-badge and run it as a bit of a sleeper if I were you enjoy!
Actually if it's LCI it should have: █ LED daytime driving lights, front █ LED rear lights as on the spec here - http://www.bmw.co.uk/dam/brandBM/mar...6952031159.pdf Last edited by rokut; 11-19-2015 at 08:30 AM.. |

Thanks chaps.. I'm used to changing cars every three months so it will be nice to have it for a full 12 months. I think I'll go with the de-badge.
Looking forward to becoming a part of the community. |

I would have thought if this were a cash purchase, the car would lose more than £7,200 in value. In your deal, you maybe slip into negative equity in the first year, and then catch up in years 2, 3 or 4. Unless of course yours is only 1 year too? |

£600 a month is probably about right if you paid no deposit. Effectively it's a 12 month rental and it's a quick car if a bit sparse in fitment. It will be hard for whoever owns it to sell it after a year. Noone will want a top of the range car with no extras. You will love the drive. You might want to invest in a set of ACS springs to hone the handling as you have no adaptive suspension. Enjoy the car in any case. They are amazing. I have had mine almost 2 years and I'm convinced it keeps getting faster.
