LEDs now standard on 3 series

Just had a call from my dealer and as of today, new cars come with LEDs as standard and the visibility pack is no longer an option.

He didn't know how much the cost of the basic car is going up by to compensate (or if it will - but I'm sure it will), but just thought people would like to know.

Good move IMO - the angel eyes are a trademark BMW look

LED fog lights or the whole lighting package LED? Sounds like the latter for sure.

Just what I was thinking. I am in that position. Have to say if it is true I will be quickly contacting my dealer having paid for the package.

If this is true, I would be really pissed off if i had a LCI with halogen lights and Bmw have done this so soon.

I certainly will do if it turns out to be true. It seems a very big change so shortly after the LCI update. Makes me wonder if the dealer is mistaken and it's the LED fog lights across all models.

Only one way to be sure, call your dealer and ask! Or email then you have it in writing as well.

His would be pretty surprising - especially since it would require BMW to update all the brochures and spec sheets that only just recently landed in dealerships...

Yes, I suspect the confusion relates to the fog lights, where LEDs are standard.

That sounds right, as I have seen few F30 and F21's with led candle light on the road, no angel eyes.

5A1 LED front foglights £0
