I was wondering if there's a way to find out how many M Performance Editions were made in each color combo.

A friend of mine has a Brass Metallic e92 M3 and someone posted a link with the production numbers showing his was the only e90/e92 in North America that was produced in that color. (pdf in this thread with the numbers http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=863761)

I was wondering if anyone knows where we could find this for the MPE's. We know from this (https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/canad...tem=node__9868) that there were
M235i M Performance Edition – 50 Units
335i M Performance Edition – 200 Units
435i M Performance Edition – 200 Units

However, I'm told that there were very few cars produced with Coral Red interior but would be cool to know exactly how many.

I'm also not sure if production of MPE's have finished yet as i know some people are still taking delivery soon so maybe we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out the exact numbers.

I sent an email to my salesman. known him for a long time and bought my MPE from him so i'll update if i hear back from him. If you could contact your friend at the dealer that would be great too!

Here's what I got from another forum:

There were 3 M Performance Editions which can be easily identified by the wheels.

KA449 - MY14, 20" Style 405M wheels
175 cars total. 44 of them are manual.

KA461 - MY15, 20" Style 624M wheels
175 cars total, 40 are manual.

KA480 - MY15, unsure about the wheels
201 cars total, 50 are manual.

The build sheet for my MPE shows stye 441 18" wheels. I understand that the cars were built and shipped on the 18's and that BMWCA shipped the 20's to the dealers directly. Searching VINS for the 20 inch wheels will be of no benefit I think.

The other thing I noticed is that the cars were built in March and shipped arriving in Halifax in April (at least that's the timeline on my car). The cars were then modified in Halifax (aero trim, MPK) and then shipped to the dealers after the news release from BMWCA in July.

heard back from my salesman and he said BMW wasn't able to give him any numbers. Only thing he was able to tell me was that my car was the only Suzuka Grey with Coral Red interior that their dealership has received and no more are coming.

found out yesterday that my car is 1 of 5 M-Performance Editions in Suzuka Grey with Coral Red interior! there's thread on maxbimmer forums where the guy can find out pretty much anything for you.

Thanks for the tip mad villain. I asked him to post the number of grey black cars produced for Canada.

My car is going into the shop tomorrow as I had a fuel delivery system failure over the weekend. Car is running OK now but not sure why the error occurred. Over 30 seconds of cranking for the car to start one morning with no success. I let it sit for a minute and then tried again and it started right away.

Also, does anyone know how to check to see if the MPK software has been loaded correctly on the vehicle? I have used the sport displays and at WOT I cannot get the HP dial to go above 300hp. I do not trust the CN rail techs in Halifax to have loaded the software correctly as they seem to have missed parts of the MPE on other cars. The vehicle I wanted was shipped without the MP exhaust and therefore could not be sold. Other vehicles seemed to have been damaged during modification with minor damage to paint and interior trim.

I have no idea how to tell. I would maybe ask your service adviser when you drop your car off and see if they know how to check. They're usually pretty good with that kinda stuff or they can just ask the techs if there's a way

60 cars in grey black made for Canada, 43 autos and 17 manuals.

New in tank fuel pump required along with a software update for the DME. Applied software update and reinstalled the MPK, car seems better now and sport displays are now about 320 hp.

interesting! glad it got sorted out for you. I will have to check on my sports display and make sure the MPPK was installed on my car.

Yea, and open up your hood to see if the m performance power kit sticker/badge is there. Mine was confirmed that they forgot to install the m power kit at Halifax and didn't tell my dealer and of course my dealer forgot to check before delivering the car to me.

mine does have the engine cover and the sports display goes above 300 hp when i'm WOT so looks like they installed it on mine

I just purchased a used 2014 335i xdrive M-Performance Edition, Automatic, in Valencia Orange. It is being shipped right now to me in the US.

Is there anyway to find out the exact number of those that were built in that color with the Automatic and Xdrive?

Mine has the 20inch wheels.

Those numbers are for Canadian vehicles. Your vehicle is 1 of 40 manuel produced for canada in 2015. M performance edition were not avaiable in the USA. I think only South Africa have had M Performance edition but they were not exactly as Canadien version.

Edit: What's you vehicle ? 335 or 435 ? Those numbers are for 335. Probably less 435.

FWIW, my dealer told me there were less than 10 of the configuration I have. 2014 MPE/ Manual/LSB. No idea if that is actually true, however I am sure the cars are fairly rare in any config.

435...seemed to be lots of yellow versions kicking around and used 2015s, so that colour didn't sell well. There were a few EB IIs but this one is xdrive and manual of course, so two strikes? Not sure

I was wondering if anyone could give me details on how many models of the F30 335i with the M-Performance power kit was produced In the uk? I can see canada made around 200 units but nothing on the uk version.
