Sending maps to Car

Does anyone know if you can send maps from google to bmw without the bmw assist subscription? Are there any other 3rd party apps that will work? Coding? Or is it completely controlled by BMW what messages get to your car?

For those of you who have bmw assist, can a better deal than $199 be had per year? I know the first year was free.

Really want to help, but I don't even know how to setup the APP for remote control your vehicle
