Stainless Steel Pedals
I want to grab a set of the M Performance Stainless Pedals to complete the look, but at $100+ it seems a bit steep for something so simple.
Has anyone seen or purchased these for their car? If so, can you comment on the quality, etc? I know they are probably cheap, but the reviews say they are ok, and realistically they are going to get destroyed in the winter regardless. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...A2CH56PPVFOUBF |

OEM Stainless pedals are totally worth the money. Tricky job but doable for most competant folks. Have done two sets in the last four months.

I had them installed as an option when I ordered my car so I've never driven without them. Quality seems fine. I drive the automatic so not sure if they make heal/toe any easier. For me the cost was rolled into a MUCH bigger amount so I didn't really notice it.

Yeah I was just browsing Amazon and saw these for $23 and figured I'd see if anyone else got them. Its not so much the $100 for the pedals that I am concerned about, its more that if I can get the same quality for $75 less, I see no reason not to.

I bought the Amazon pedals and am happy with them. The quality is pretty good and they slip right on. I posted this in the other pedal thread as well. Here is a photo....

Yeah I ended up buying them also...for $20 I figured why not haha. I agree, quality is pretty nice and once they are on, there is no way you can tell between OEM and Amazon.

Just installed mine the other day - Perfect!! Took a little wiggle to get it on but in my opinion way better than trying to drill and a chance of mess something up.

I went for the M Performance petals. Why not get the real thing on a $50k car?

Because its cosmetic and meaningless, thats why. No point in spending $100 more on something that you step on, and that provides no real value whatsoever over a $20 set from Amazon. |

I would rather take that $75 and use it towards something else that actually matters. |

I don't see the point in drilling personally. I bought an aluminum pedal set for my previous E46 and I just used black RTV silicone as an adhesive and stuck them on. Worked perfectly and none of them ever moved the slightest bit in the 5-6 years I used them and all perfectly reversible if I decided I didn't like them. |

what do this even mean? where's the "big" difference in quality? And why/how do you know they will look "quite different" in 5 years? You make it seem as if they are made of chromed plastic or something... |

One is metal and the other is a slip on. You tell me they are the same quality.
