Winter Wheel Setup Style 159 wheels?
Hey Guys
Need some advice as Im getting some conflicting information. I have a 2014 320i Sportline, and need some winters for this coming season. I have 2 questions. I've read some post indication that a smaller tire size is better for traction. How significant of a different will it make from the 18inch stock size?...Im a little worried about sliding around this winter, but still want the car to look great. Secondly, I have an opportunity to buy a set of style 159 wheels with 225/45/17s for a great price. The 159s are from a 2011 335i. Will these bolt on? and I know that ideally Id going with a 225/50/17, but will the 45s work or will the speedometer be way off? Thanks in advance |

Yes the E90 style 159 wheels will fit no problem, although as you noted the tires should be 50 profile. I run a set of 17 inch style 162 reps that I also used on my previous E90, In my case I did get a new set of 225/50/17 tires when I put them on my F30 though.
