Disappointing rear spoiler options

Is anyone else disappointed with the options we have for a rear spoiler? I think the right spoiler could really make this car look amazing, especially given the fairly tame design of the rear. The M performance spoiler doesn't add much in my opinion, and I'm not a huge fan of its rounded contour shape. Anyone come across anything better?

hahah I'm not asking for a 3fast3furious-style bolted-on wing, just something a little more aggressive.

Yea the only other options besides the M performance and knock offs are the bad idea ones..... Have not seen a well thought out option. And remember the M performance is about just like the unit for the 1 series

I agree here. I'm a muscle car guy, so I want to find something more like the old Trans Am ducktail spoilers or an old Mopar GoWing. Bold but not ricer. I'd even consider a race wing, but they are all too tall and wide.

Are any of these third party spoilers wind tunnel tested for proven performance enhancement?

Personally, I'd like to find a small painted lip similiar to the one on my M3 that fits the M235i Convertible. That will be just enough without detracting from the design.

Of course not. But I'd be damned if any of us are good enough drivers to feel that kind of downforce.

I personally think the M-Performance spoiler is a must for this car (M2 included). I think it could be a little taller, but good enough.

I don't know if it's a must, but it's definitely something that I'm adding to my car because I do think the rear is the weakest part of the exterior. I'm also pairing it with a CF rear diffuser (and CF mirror caps, black grilles and front reflector delete), which should add enough pizzazz for my tastes.

+1

I purchased an OEM lip from the coupe to see if it would fit, no go

I actually think the roundness accentuates the softer angles of the rear. The more angular spoiler posted above looks pretty sharp to me.

Did you get the M-performance spoiler installed with Betalink, or just the double sided tape that came with?

Not sure if the question was meant for me, but I used the OEM tape it came with. It was very well engineered and worked well.
