Bonnet and trunk badges

Can anyone help me. I want to change my roundals on my 220i and am not sure of how they are fixed. Are they fixed with pegs and grommets or are they glued on.

Adhesive tape.

Yes.

To remove I used a length of thick, strong fishing line and worked it only about 1/2" under the badge then pulled upward and the badge literally popped of totally cleanly with the double stick tape completely intact still attached to the badge. (I did this to apply Xpel clear film underneath so I had no cut lines showing.) And it's interesting to note that I was able to reapply the same badge with the same OEM tape back in place. The 'stick' of the OEM tape was still adequate to hold the badge back on. I did this almost a year ago. Still stuck on perfectly.

Why do you say bonnet and trunk? When I lived in the UK (1985 – 1991) it was called a bonnet and boot?
