Yup I did. Looks a lot better. I would even debadge a M. Hair drier and dental floss works great. WD40 works well taking off the residue but with the heat it comes off fairly easy as well with your hand rubbing a little.

Don't make the same mistake as I did. Make sure to heat it enough or it will be a challenge to take off.

2007 328i  [0.00]
I pulled mine off with just my fingers on the day I took delivery. Easier before the glue sets in. Did the same with the wife's X3, although that x is pretty sharp.

The glue came right off with the badges. Went over it with some goo gone and polish


As for thoughts...definitely do it. I've debadged every car I've had. Makes washing it easier as well and looks much cleaner.

Honestly, if I had an M, the badge WOULD come off immediately. I would hide everything on it that said M or M performance. Living in a city will make you understand why. The BMW emblem already gets people mad here.
