IND | BMW OEM M4 GTS Bolt-In Roll Bar
BMW is notorious for designing bespoke-fit, specially engineered roll bar solutions for their special M cars, and then keeping them from M fans everywhere. Fortunately, enterprising vendors have always worked hard to provide M fans the most rare components possible, and the F82 M4 is no different. IND has secured the factory-commissioned roll bars found on the M4 GTS test cars and M4 safety cars for the BimmerPost community! The GTS roll bar does require removal of the rear seat. Weld-in reinforcements to strengthen the floor mounting points are included with purchase. The roll bar bolts in place and attaches to those reinforcements. BMW OEM M4 GTS Bolt-In Roll Bar $6500.00 Please contact IND by phone or email for more information or to place your order. 866.963.4520 | info@ind-distribution.com The BMW OEM M4 GTS Bolt-In Roll Bar may be viewed here in our online store: https://ind-distribution.com/product?sku=BMW-F82-GTS-RC

Hey cat do you know the weight of the bar? I saw I can drop 154lbs front and rear seat and gain 54 lbs with profi xls. Just curious what the weight of the bar is ?
Thanks so much for every thing Greg Quote:

Unfortunately we do not. We should have an opportunity to weigh the one currently installed in our M4 in the near future. I'll be sure to post up what we find.

M4 OEM GTS roll bar (painted) weighs in at exactly 35lbs. We were not able to weigh the four mounting plates as they are still affixed to our M4.

Does this have any kind of FIA or SCCA certification?

The OEM BMW GTS roll bar does not as BMW did not seek certification/approval from the FIA or SCCA when constructing the bar.

The main hoop uses a 50mm O.D. tube, while the rear tubes use 40mm O.D. tube. I do not have a wall thickness measurement at this moment.

I agree with you in that you can't sell an aftermarket roll bar without the basic tubing OD and wall thickness measurements. This bar is OE BMW, so I must leave it to BMW to set the spec. This solution is specifically for those that want the OE BMW GTS item in their car- as you know there are many lower cost aftermarket solutions available for those who do not have an interest in getting the original GTS part.

I did a bit of digging with our contacts in Germany, and was able to locate the spec sheets on the roll bars. The column marked "Wandstarke" refers to wall thickness:
